How is everyone doing after the Littlewoods Ireland Blog Awards 2016?
We hope you all had as much fun and laughter as we did! What a great night it was.
Upon arriving at Duffy’s Circus, which played host to the Awards for the night, our thirst was quenched by a sparkling glass of Prosecco (courtesy of The Corkscrew Wine Merchants) or a tickling glass of Gin & Tonic with refreshing slice of lime (courtesy of Schweppes) or a cold cool Heineken.
To accompany our taste buds was the delicious crispy, crunchy Home Fries with some sassy sauce of your choice. If you fancied something more exotic, Kinara Kitchen were there to bring your taste buds on a journey to the Middle East. If these weren’t your cup of tea we had the most refreshing and wholesome salads brought to you by Eathos. It really was a hard choice!
After we filled ourselves up with these delicious meals and drinks, it was then Awards time in the Circus!
As David Duffy raised the curtain to the awards, we were mesmerised by the first act, the Flying Acrobats. After that excitement, the Slosh Clowns followed which had us all in fits of laughter!
After Rossa Butler’s (Ecommerce and Marketing Manager with Littlewoods Ireland) opening speech, our hosts Darragh Doyle and Tracey Carney began giving out the most sought-after trophies!
Some of our Winners on the night included:
Baby Led Feeding – Food & Drink (sponsored by Just Eat – The Takeaway App)
The Lust List – Arts and Crafts
LoveParenting.ie – the highs, lows and general madness – Best Blog Post
Create A Whole New You – Health & Well-Being
Throughout the night there was also many spot prizes giving out which were supplied by V by Very, Martina Hamilton Jewellery, Music Network, Lillie’s Bordello, Sunway Holidays, Her Clutterbox, Inis, amongst many more.
During the awards interval we were entertained by Bumblebee the Transformer and some of favourite Superheroes! After that the clowns & jugglers entertained and the rollerskaters had us in a spin with their skating skils!
As the night rolled on, we had many more winners, each one happy and delighted to have achieved so much and be recognised for their hard work. Congratulations you guys and to all the Silver and Bronze winners, and every blog shortlisted and longlisted. Each round is a huge achievement, well done!
We hope to see you all and many more at the awards next year!
Finally to finish the night we had the Wheel of Death, leaving us all astonished and blown away as to how these guys perform these acts. True entertainers they are!
It was a jam packed, fun filled night. As we leave you for the time being with these pictures of the night we look forward to doing it all again next year!
In the meantime, keep the conversation going using the hashtag #LWIbloggies2016
Until then we leave you with the wise words of Steve Jobs:
“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow know what you truly want to become”
Ciao for now!
